GIROPTIC IO

Giroptic is a French startup that aims to disrupt access to immersive experiences by developing an affordable 360-degree mobile camera. Following the success of their first product, the company is now looking to create a second generation to reach a wider audience. The device is equipped with two 180-degree FOV lenses, stitched together using in-house proprietary software. The extremely compact form factor is a result of an elemental configuration of components and efficient heat management, with a focus on suppressing all unnecessary details and prioritizing the capturing experience. I initiated the partnership between Giroptic and LUNAR from the ground up, leading the business development, scoping, and creative process through production. In 2017, Facebook distributed 2500 Giroptic iO cameras to F8 conference attendees, further accelerating their commitment to immersive experiences
